Hi all:

I recently attended a talk at MEEC, a graduate student run ecology and evolution conference, and one of the speakers mentioned that Eumeces fasciatus has been changed to Plestiodon fasciatus. I would like to confirm this name change before reporting it to my vertebrate zoology class, but have not been successful in finding the paper(s) that describes the revision, nor is the change reflected at ITIS.gov.

Does anyone know where I can find the revision, if it exists, and/or find a list of official, updated scientific names for reptiles and amphibians?

Thanks for any assistance.

Hello Justin
The generic change of Plestiodon was applied in 2005 by Matt Brandley et al in Systematic Biology (here is a link to the PDF from his page http://socrates.berkeley.edu/~brandley/pubs/Brandley_et_al_2006_SB.pdf). - Raul Diaz
