> Festival Dates Announced:          Expo on the Mall:
> 10/10/10 - 10/24/10          10/23 & 10/24
>
>
> Yes, the Festival will kick off on 10/10/10 and, after two weeks of events throughout the greater Washington D.C. area, will culminate in two full days of discovery and exploration on the National Mall.
>
> We will be right in front of the Capitol, between the Capitol Reflecting Pond and 7th Street, and we hope to be able to add the West Lawn to accommodate more exhibitors.
>
> ***ATTENTION EXHIBITORS - READ THIS***
> If you have already signed up to exhibit, you will be surprised (and hopefully delighted) to hear that the Expo is now a two-day event! Due to an overwhelming number of requests from our exhibitors and partners, we have decided that two days is the way to go: more time to explore, more time to inspire, more people to reach, more bang for you buck!
>
> Since you are already creating the exhibit, we wanted to give you more time to share it with the public. Set up will take place on Thursday the 21st, Friday the 22nd, or the morning of Saturday the 23rd.  And tear-down will be the evening of Sunday the 24th or morning of Monday the 25th (depending on the complexity of your exhibit set-up). We will be in touch with you soon to explain logistics.

>  Host a Satellite Event in your own community!

> Help us make the USA Science & Engineering Festival a truly national experience by hosting a Satellite Event in your area. Whether you are a student club, school, university, community organization or company, why not put on your own celebration of science the same weekend that thousands of people celebrate science on the National Mall?

> Our goal is to spark hundreds of Satellite Events throughout the country, anchored to the USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C. You can make it as small or as large as you like: it can be a single activity put on by your student club, a small celebration at your school or company, a larger event that involves organizations from your community, or a full- fledged Festival modeled after the USA Science & Engineering Festival.

> You create it, and we will help you market it by including your information on our website and in our newsletters. That way, anyone in the nation can check our website to see what's happening in their backyard the weekend of the USA Science & Engineering Festival. It's a great way to get your community excited about science and to put your organization on the national map.
